Haha, Sauvignon Blanc 2016
- Soft golden colour with light green hues. Intensely aromatic with a blend of passionfruit, gooseberries and lime zest on the nose. A burst of concentrated passion fruit and gooseberry flavours leads to superb richness and a long textural mouth-feel with a clean limey dry finish.
- Vertical shoot positioned trellis was used with three canes pruned and laid down providing an average of 7 tonnes per hectare.
- “Brilliant pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, lighter on rim. The bouquet is elegant and finely bound, revealing ethereal aromas of gooseberries, passionfruit, limes and white florals that grow in volume. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, elegantly concentrated fruit flavours of gooseberries entwined with passionfruit form a core with fine phenolic textures and linearity. The mouthfeel is fresh and lively with thirst-quenching acidity. The palate has presence and excellent tension that is carried to a textured, dry and lingering finish. This is a tightly bound, elegant and fresh Sauvignon Blanc with a fine, dry and thirst-quenching mouthfeel. Serve with seafood, poultry, salads and vegetables over the next 2 years. Fruit from the Waihopi and Wairau Valleys, cool-fermented to 13.0% alc. and 1.7 g/L RS.”4 Stars - Raymond Chan 4.5 Stars - Wine Orbit
